BMS Attribute Names

IBM supplies the DFHBMSCA copybook that contains working storage items to help in the execution time interpretation and modification of BMS mapping data. The names chosen by IBM for this are difficult to remember and understand. Accordingly, NWRDC supplies the NWRBMSCA copybook that contains similar working storage items with more meaningful (albeit a lot longer) names. The following table should help determine the name to use.
Only the most commonly-used fields are documented here. Note: All NWRBMSCA hex values include "select pen detectable." When the DFHBMSCA values do not, their different hex value is displayed with the DFHBMSCA name. Select pen detectable, means a field can be "selected" via a special pen. We have never even seen one of the things, but modern "touch sensitive" devices pretend your finger is the pen. There is no downside to specifying "select pen detectable", so we added that support to our copybook.
