Interfaces
The DB2 interface is installed with FOCUS to allow users to create, update and report from DB2 tables. The system FOCEXEC "AUTODB2" can be executed from within FOCUS to create FOCUS master file descriptions for DB2 tables and views. DB2 security authorization is strictly enforced, however. In addition, the COBOL File Definition (FD) translator interface is available at the FOCUS system menu. This interface translates COBOL file definitions within user libraries to FOCUS master file descriptions.
