Overview
Log Master for DB2 allows you to access and use the DB2 log for purposes beyond restart and recovery. With Log Master, you can easily retrieve information stored in log records to support audit and data migration tasks. Special features also provide innovative solutions to the complex problems associated with logical backout and recovery of application transactions.

Product Features
Identifying/Analyzing Problem Transaction - This feature allows you to backout specific application transactions while maintaining data integrity. It will generate SQL to UNDO/REDO specific transactions.

Migrating Data - If you want to keep shadow tables up-to-date, this feature lets you apply updates from log records by generating the appropriate SQL.

Auditing, Performance and Statistical Information - With Log Master, you can search the DB2 log for specific criteria, retrieve the information, and print reports. Some of these reports include Auditing, Backout Integrity, commit, rollback and image copy frequency, object activity summaries, Data Capture Analysis and Quiet Points.

Logical Log Files - You can create an output file of selected log records that is easily readable and can also be "read back in". You can use these files as input to your own applications, input to report generators, or as permanent records of activity for later audit requirements.
